XP and Quota?

What do the XP and Quota fields under the username mean? I can guess that the XP might stand for experience points, but how do you get them? And what about the Quota?

didn't have sequential names for your challenges. I can instantly skip to another since you're using roman numerals.

Granted, I don't level up, but at least I get to solve other problems. Tell me, why are most of your latter puzzles so much easier than R2?
