  Yet another "guess what to do (hard) then do it (easy)" challenge.
  I hate those. And the main page welcomes us with the promise:
  "The challenges test your knowledge and skills in the following areas:
  Programming, Mathematics, Logic, Puzzle, Cryptography, Steganography, CGI Security".
  Why then the skills in Guessing are put to test instead?

  PS A small, moderte amount of guessing is fine. It adds fun to problems. But in my opinion there is way too much of it.

    Countdown is no random guessing. I solved it by a careful analysis, not taking any wild guesses at all. As Sphinx said, it is cryptography, not a mystery riddle like some others. You can compare this challenge type to cracking the original Enigma encryption.

     

    Furthermore it's a very good challenge, I would put it into the Top 10 of Rankk.
