Welcome to the Pyramid Board!

Here is where Pyramid members can communicate with one another. The board is mainly for being connected around the world to chat and exchange ideas. Have fun!

Please do not discuss the challenges as it's considered cheating.

the pyramid's future

well, let me start with the current state of affairs.

the parent site (netquiz) is likely to shut down early next year. i have no plans as yet to get a server space for the pyramid.

i'm not particularly encouraged by the number of new members who have joined the pyramid over the last two years. on the average, there're about 2-3 new members per day.

furthermore, only a handful are active members.

sigh.

i draw comfort on the fact that of the few who are active, they have helped to keep the small community spirit alive. i enjoy the company of this small group of people. you know who you are so i'll not mention names...

when the site goes next year, i envisage the pyramid will be gone for quite a considerable period of time. it may never return.

i don't think the server will cost a lot of money. it's more of the time factor.

if i do buy a server space for the pyramid, i would want to recode as much of it as possible and to make use of mysql. i would also like to modify the lower-level challenges. all those will require time and energy and i'm afraid i might not be able to commit to such an effort.

Brigade script is up!

Well, it's not really a brigade script.

Anyway, the script is named brigade.cgi and it's used for changing the colour of members whose eps have reached 2000.

It's accessible only by COs and myself.

COs can use the script to change their own colour, but not the colour of another C/O unless that C/O happens to have eps of more than 2000.

So, in future, if you want to have your colour changed (provided you've 2000 or more eps), just pm any of the COs or myself.

Voting for your fav medal

Click on vote.cgi and select your medal of choice!

Voting starts today and ends on 20 September. For those who are new to the voting, different ranks entitle you to different number of votes. The voting rights are spelled out at vote.cgi but I shall repeat them here:

Art to Pri -> 1 vote
Viz to Pha -> 2 votes
Geb and C/0 -> 3 votes

Hopefully, we can all decide on something that all of us like.

Help the pyramid grow!

We need to recruit more members!!

Ask not what the pyramid can do for you, but what you can do for the pyramid.

To All Viziers,

C'mon, elsie should take you not more than two days. In the old CA, eliza was a mere level-two challenge.

This months MOTM is VERY VERY slow!!!

I want to know why so many people are not participating in it? Is it too hard? Other things to do? I was looking forward to doing this month for along time..however with the lack of support by the members Im not sure.

However, if you wish to work in teams then please do so. The winnings will be splint between members.

ROTD News

This month's contest is getting VERY close. Those of you that are among the top scorers this month have done really well, imho, as some of these riddles have been quite difficult.
