  right now each newcomer appears at the top of the level's hof. i suggest they appear at the bottom, and the people who first solved lvl stay at the top.

  Hm. . .it's old vs new information. The assumption is that people who click on the hofs are interested to know who the newcomers are and where they are in the hofs. Those who came first, if they are sufficiently high on the hofs, will have their names displayed anyway.
