The basic use is self-evident, but here are some things about the PM which might be useful to know, and some thoughts:
1) You can PM (send, reply or forward a message) to multiple users by delimiting each user with a comma.
2) You can PM yourself. I had thought this was a bug but Bio explained that it is a feature just like the email - you can email yourself just like you can email anybody. I later reasoned that it is indeed advantageous to be able to PM oneself because there might be occasions where you want to PM challenge notes to yourself for future reference.
3) You can PM anybody in Rankk. This is a departure from the original implementation in which you could only PM members at or below your level. We wanted a scheme to prevent members from using the PM to "cheat", as has happened in other challenges sites and has done great injustice to the challenges. But limiting the communication to members of the same level or below suffers a flaw - A (at a higher level) can PM B (at a lower level), but B can't reply him. So we made a 180-turn to make it level blind.
