Is this challenge broken?  I have tried every possible hex code for the rainbow Indigo there is.  

I've looked at this multiple different ways and I'm convinced the rules are wonky, its broken, or there is some secret that is going over my head.

Is the puzzle correct? Do the rules differ from normal puzzle (square)?
